Montauro: man charged with arson after setting fire to brush near cars and motorhomes

On June 30, a pile of dry brush was set on fire in the Calalunga area of Montauro. The blaze occurred near a parking area where several vehicles, including motorhomes, were parked. Carabinieri from the Gasperina station, using surveillance footage and online videos, identified a 49-year-old local resident as the suspect. He was reported to the Catanzaro prosecutor's office on charges of arson.

Bolzano approves reorganisation plan for camper parking on Via Maso della Pieve

The municipal council of Bolzano has approved a reorganisation plan for parking on Via Maso della Pieve, an area often reported for improper use. New rules ban heavy and oversized vehicles, increase spaces for residents, local business customers, and cemetery visitors. A dedicated long-stay area for campers will be managed by SEAB with constant video surveillance. Full access to Blu Center parking remains guaranteed.

Oristano tenders management of camper area and large events zone in Torre Grande

The municipality of Oristano has published a tender for the concession of the camper parking area and the large events area in Torre Grande. The total site covers about 88,000 sq m, with 29,000 sq m for the camper area and 59,000 sq m for events. The concession lasts 20 years, extendable by up to 10 years with additional investments. The base annual fee is €35,000, reduced to 10% for the first three years. Bids must be submitted by 12:30 on 4 August 2026.

Camper area deserted for third year: 130,000 euros wasted

A camper area in Civitanova, opened three years ago, remains empty and neglected. The 130,000-euro investment failed due to its poor location, several kilometers from the beach and city center, near a highway and commercial zone. Tourists choose other sites closer to the sea. Additionally, the completion of a bike path and a bridge over the Chienti River is delayed.
