A review of new 2027 model year motorhomes and campervans has identified five key trends. These include the three-storey Westfalia Columbus Liner with an optional roof terrace, central-bed campervans from Rapido and Campérêve, the La Strada Avanti R with a rear lounge and electric bed, and the Bürstner Habiton 6.1 with a full-length body extension. Other trends noted are coloured and special editions (Laika, Hymer, Eura Mobil), off-road versions (Carado, Sunlight, Pössl), redesigned interiors (Mobilvetta, Autostar) and new compact models (McLouis, Chausson, Dethleffs, Roller Team).
According to Statens vegvesen, 67,415 motorhomes are registered in Norway. Hymer tops the brand statistics with 6,545 vehicles, accounting for 9.7% of the fleet. It is followed by Bürstner (5,595) and Dethleffs (5,538), all part of the Hymer Group. Next are Challenger (4,323) and Adria (4,263) from the Trigano Group. 51 brands have more than 100 registered motorhomes, together covering 65,205 units, or 96.7% of the total. The remaining 176 brand entries have 100 or fewer vehicles each, totaling 2,210 units. The data reflects historical registrations and may contain inaccuracies due to changes in registration practices.

German company Dethleffs has presented the new Graneo premium line. The first model, Graneo A 6823-2, is built on a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter. Price starts at $187,000, with options it may exceed $220,000. According to the Spanish edition Motor1.com, the base price in Germany is €169,999, with autonomy options €180,466.

German manufacturer Dethleffs has announced two new alcove motorhomes in its XL A range: the 8.56-metre XL A 7822-2 and the 7.30-metre XL A 6822-2. The alcove features two separate longitudinal beds measuring 80 centimetres wide and 1.92 and 2.06 metres long, with an interior standing height of 2.09 metres. The vehicles are based on the 180 hp Fiat Ducato Maxi with an AL-KO low-frame chassis and tandem axle, and include a heated double floor and hot-water heating. Prices start at 131,999 euros for the XL A 7822-2 and 121,999 euros for the XL A 6822-2.
Dethleffs has unveiled the Graneo A 6823-2, a 7.98-metre motorhome based on the Mercedes Sprinter, offering up to 650 Ah of lithium batteries and a 232-litre fresh water tank. The standard specification includes a 325 Ah LiFePO4 battery, a 45 A charge booster, six 230 V sockets and four USB ports. Options include a second 325 Ah battery with a 3,600 W inverter for €4,999, a 220 W solar panel for €1,899, and a ceramic toilet with macerator and 137-litre black water tank for €3,569. Prices start at €169,999, and a fully equipped model can exceed €200,000.

Unladen weight is 4,190 kg, with a gross vehicle weight of 5,500 kg. Options include a second 325 Ah battery for €4,999, a 220 W solar panel for €1,899 and a macerating ceramic toilet with a 137-litre waste tank for €3,569. Fresh water capacity is 232 litres, waste water 222 litres. The base price is €169,999; with the off-grid package it reaches €180,466. The 2026 Düsseldorf Caravan Salon showcased new motorhomes, caravans and camper vans. Among the exhibits were the Reisemobile ATventure 1070 motorhome, 10.7 m long on a Mercedes-Benz Actros chassis with a slide-out kitchen and roof terrace; the Dethleffs c.core concept camper van on a Volkswagen Crafter with a lightweight aluminium Necto body; the Beauer X6 caravan with a sliding section that expands width to 3.6 m; the Bürstner Habiton 6.1 camper van on a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter with 4x4; the Norantz IPAR 4 on a Mercedes or MAN chassis; the Westfalia Columbus Liner on a Fiat with an optional SkyLounge pop-up roof; the Rapido V64 on a Ducato; and the Adria Supertwin 4x4 on a Mercedes. German manufacturer Dethleffs has unveiled the e.home electric motorhome based on an Iveco Daily Electric van. The range is 200 km, despite three batteries with a combined capacity of 91.2 kWh and 31 m² of solar panels generating up to 3000 W. The electric motor produces 80 kW, top speed is 80 km/h, and a full charge from a 220 V household outlet takes 24 hours. The model debuted at the Caravan Salon 2017 in Düsseldorf. Pricing has not been disclosed; it is presented as a show car, not a production model.
German manufacturer Dethleffs is increasing the number of layouts in its Summer Edition range from six to eleven for the 2027 season. Family versions include the 530 FMK from €28,799, 540 QMK from €29,999 and 730 FKR from €36,999, while the premium 650 RQT is available from €37,999. A winter package at €3,399 replaces EPS with XPS and upgrades the heater. Dethleffs has added new floor plans for the 2027 season to its Summer Edition line, bringing the total to eleven variants. Family-oriented models include the 530 FMK (from €28,799) with bunk beds, the 540 QMK (from €29,999) with a wide transverse bed, and the 730 FKR (from €36,999) featuring a separate children's area. For couples, the 490 EST (from €29,499) offers twin beds, while the 650 RQT (from €37,999) includes a queen-size bed and a large bathroom. All models come with alloy wheels, self-adjusting brakes, and 7-zone mattresses; optional XPS insulation and Combi heating are available for an extra charge starting at €3,399.
At the 2026 Dusseldorf Caravan Salon, Dethleffs unveiled the c.core concept motorhome based on a Volkswagen Crafter chassis. The body uses a new lightweight material called Necto, reducing weight by 25–45 kg compared to aluminum. A 600W solar array and 400Ah battery provide full off-grid capability from May to September in Europe. A multi-filter water system recycles gray water, and a multi-fuel heater can run on HVO. The concept is not intended for production but serves as a testbed for future technologies.
At the Caravan Salon 2026, Dethleffs presented the Trend I 7027, a motorhome where the rear area features a U-shaped lounge instead of a traditional bed. Sleeping accommodation is provided by an electrically lowering double bed above the driver's cab. The vehicle measures 7.40 m in length, 2.33 m in width, and 3.00 m in height, with a permissible gross weight of 3,499 kg. The base price is 97,999 euros, while the show vehicle is priced at 116,560 euros.

Caravan Salon 2026 in Düsseldorf features over 830 exhibitors across nearly 250,000 square meters. For the first time, dedicated halls for roof tents (Hall 7a) and off-road vehicles (Halls 16 and 17) have been introduced. New models from Dethleffs, Bürstner, Pössl, Carthago, and debutant PerfectVan are on display. The fair runs from August 28 to September 6, with tickets starting at €18.
