Winners
ANWB and Kampeer & Caravan Industrie (KCI) announced the winners of the Caravan en Camper van het Jaar 2027 competition at the Kampeer en Caravan Jaarbeurs show in Utrecht. The Caravan of the Year title went to the Lume Ranger from Dutch manufacturer Lume Traveler, and the Camper of the Year title to the Sunlight IBEX 4x4.
Specifications
- Lume Ranger: priced from nearly €50,000, kerb weight 1150 kg. The model debuted five weeks ago at the Caravan Salon in Düsseldorf.
- Sunlight IBEX 4x4: based on a four-wheel-drive Volkswagen Crafter, 163 hp engine, automatic transmission, priced from €111,000. A year earlier it was a concept; the IBEX 604D and 603D versions have already entered production and will reach showrooms this autumn.
Nominees
Nominees included Adria Alpina, Knaus Nordwind, Caravelair Alba 325, LMC Style 500E, as well as Knaus Sky TI, Westfalia Nansen, Dethleffs Just Van and Pilote Galaxy. The jury, chaired by Leo Diepemaat, evaluated entries on innovation, ease of use and consumer appeal. NRIT also identified eight trends changing the camping market.
