French company R Truck-France has unveiled the Kodiak 6x6, an expedition motorhome built on a Renault Trucks K-series chassis with permanent six-wheel drive. The vehicle measures 11 m long, 2.55 m wide and 3.99 m high, with a maximum permissible mass of 26 tonnes. Power comes from a 13-litre six-cylinder turbodiesel producing 324 kW (440 hp) and 2,500 Nm of torque, paired with a 12-speed automated gearbox. The 7.55 m living area offers about 18 sq m with four berths, a separate bedroom, and a kitchen equipped with an induction hob, dishwasher and washer-dryer. Two tanks with a combined capacity of 630 litres give a theoretical range of up to 2,500 km, while average fuel consumption is quoted at around 25 litres per 100 km. Prices start at approximately €700,000 for the Essential version and reach at least €1.2 million for the Premium trim.

Under an EU directive, member states must adopt and publish the necessary regulations by 26 November 2028, with application required only from 26 November 2029. Slovenia's Ministry of Infrastructure confirmed these deadlines but said no decision has been made on whether drivers will need training, a skills test, or both. Motorhome manufacturers such as Robeta support raising the limit to 4.25 tonnes, which would provide 750 kg of additional payload capacity, but note that individual vehicle technical limits must still allow it.

A 63-year-old Slovenian citizen was the victim of a break-in in Varaždin, Croatia. An unknown perpetrator entered his motorhome parked on Koprivnička Street and stole a navigation device and an electric bicycle. Varaždin police estimate the material damage at around 2,000 euros. The exact time and method of entry have not been disclosed, and no suspect has been identified.

California-based Polydrops has unveiled the P21X, a trailer focused on off-road capability and energy self-sufficiency. The model features independent axle-less suspension, ground clearance of about 38 cm, and a 1,300-watt solar array developed with Aptera. Electricity is stored in a 5 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery, with an optional 10 kWh battery. The trailer is approximately 6.4 meters long and weighs just under 950 kg. It can sleep up to four people and includes a kitchen with an induction cooktop and refrigerator, plus a concealed bathroom. Pricing in the US starts at $76,900, with initial production limited to small series.

Pebble introduced the updated 2027 Flow electric trailer at the Camp Pebble event in Costanoa, California. The model features up to 4 kW of solar power, the Magic Hitch automatic coupling system, and two floor plans.

In September and October, Slovenian motorhome and caravan dealers are holding in-house shows to present new models and offer promotions on stock and used vehicles. Caravan Center Ljubljana will hold its show from 1 to 3 October, Adria Center in Novo Mesto on 9–10 October, Vantrip Robeta in Brezovica pri Ljubljani from 15 to 17 October, and Vraničar avtodomi Ahorn in Maribor on 3 October. AMZS members are offered rental discounts: 5% for rentals of 3 to 5 days, and 10% for rentals of 7 days or more or during low season.

In the settlement of Srednji Dolič, a fire completely destroyed a motorhome and damaged a combined vehicle parked nearby. The fire also spread to a canopy and undergrowth.

From 1 to 3 October, Caravan Center Ljubljana will hold its traditional autumn show, featuring the first presentation of Italian GiottiLine motorhomes. The lineup includes Siena and Toscan models from 6 to 7.4 metres long, plus two alcove motorhomes with up to six berths. Members receive a 5% discount on motorhome or caravan rental for a minimum of 5 days. Opening hours: 1–2 October 8:30–18:00, 3 October 8:30–14:00.

Chinese company Vala has introduced a camper based on the electric Wuling Sunshine van. The vehicle measures less than 3.7 m long, 1.5 m wide and 1.9 m tall. A pop-up roof with an integrated tent doubles the sleeping capacity to four. Equipment includes a retractable screen and a pull-out shelf that operates only with the rear doors open. A V2L function allows powering appliances from a 30.6 kWh battery. Range is 305 km under the CLTC cycle. The motor produces 40 hp. The full package, including modifications, is priced below 100,000 yuan, while the Wuling Sunshine alone starts at 47,800 yuan.

New EU Directive (EU) 2025/2205 raises the maximum permissible mass of motorhomes for B-category licence holders from 3,500 to 4,250 kg, subject to additional training or a practical test. With a trailer, the maximum combination mass can reach 5,000 kg if homologation conditions are met. Training requires at least seven hours of practical work on public roads or a closed course, and the entitlement will be marked with code 96.02. Slovenia must transpose the rules into national law; until then, an existing B licence does not permit driving a motorhome over 3.5 tonnes.

At a campsite near the village of Malovše in the municipality of Ajdovščina, a 63-year-old Dutch citizen was repairing a bus converted into a motorhome after lifting it with a jack. At around 1 p.m., the vehicle slipped off the jack and pinned him underneath. Noise was heard by other people at the campsite, who came to his aid. Firefighters lifted the bus, and the injured man was pulled out and taken to Šempeter hospital.

The Vanna Camp Cubivan system is a sliding folding module that fits into an ordinary family van and, when deployed, creates a living unit with hard walls, a kitchen, a wet bath and a roof-mounted bedroom. The lower living space remains open, and the vehicle retains compact dimensions and driving characteristics at speeds up to 130 km/h. Official orders for the system will open in summer 2027; the manufacturer is using the time until launch to test the mechanisms in various weather conditions.

On Sunday in Nova Vas (Miren-Kostanjevica municipality), an unknown person broke the passenger door window of a car and stole a woman's handbag containing several hundred euros and personal documents. At the Vršič pass, a 59-year-old German citizen parked her VW Transporter motorhome for two minutes to take photos, and during that time a thief stole a bag with a wallet and documents. The damage amounted to about 300 euros. Police remind that even a short absence can lead to theft and advise not to leave valuables in vehicles.

Ljubljana has seen a rise in complaints about waste left by motorhome users at street parking areas. Motorhomes can officially park at P+R Dolgi most and P+R Stanežiče for up to 7 days at 15 euros per day, with water, electricity and waste disposal costing an additional 10 euros per day. The city inspectorate recorded 111 offences related to illegal waste disposal in 2025, but does not keep separate records by location.

Residents of the Ferlugi hamlet complain about noise and disorder at the scenic viewpoint, where tourists increasingly park motorhomes and pitch tents. With no sanitary facilities, visitors wash on site, and in the evenings loud groups gather to consume alcohol and other substances. Locals also worry about road conditions and safety, but their appeals to the Trieste municipality have gone unanswered.

A family of four found accommodation on the island of Ciovo in August for 63 euros, staying in a caravan with basic amenities. The sea was just a few steps away, with two beaches nearby. They prepared most meals themselves, bringing an electric grill to cut food costs. The parents noted the absence of TV and video games as a bonus, as the children were screen-free throughout the holiday.

Tourne Mobil has begun producing motorhomes at the Javor business zone in Pivka, Slovenia. The first motorhome built there was sold to a buyer in Hanover, Germany. The company purchased the eight-hectare site in March 2021. Currently, 42 workers transferred from Vrhnika are employed at the plant, with about five more hires planned. The municipality of Pivka plans further development of the area, including a connecting road and a cycling path.

At the Bertoki exit from Koper, a motorhome stopped due to a breakdown. While waiting for assistance, the occupants set up chairs and drank coffee, prompting safety concerns about the location.

Travelers in motorhomes continued their route from Germany to Switzerland, visiting the Rhine Falls near Neuhausen and the city of Lucerne. The falls, about 150 meters wide and 23 meters high, are among the most powerful in Europe by water volume. In Lucerne, they saw the Chapel Bridge, a 14th-century wooden bridge 204 meters long, rebuilt after a fire in 1993. The travelers left their motorhomes at a campsite near Mount Pilatus and used public transport.

Challenger has introduced the Sport Edition S114 camper van based on the Citroën Jumper, priced at €51,490. The vehicle measures 5.99 m in length and 2.05 m in width. It features a transverse double bed, a new Vario bathroom with a sliding wall, a multifunctional table, a compressor fridge, and diesel heating. The model is positioned as an affordable option in the camper segment, with a similar version available from Chausson under the Sportline name.
