Officials Pleased with ‘Overwhelming’ Overland Expo West

The Overland Expo West concluded after three days of exhibits, learning and demonstrations centered around the overlanding lifestyle. The 17th edition was held at Fort Tuthill County Park in Flagstaff, Ariz., featuring over 400 exhibitors and more than 175 classes, slideshows, demos and activities. Notable debuts included the Winnebago ARKA 20Z starting at $331,901, Palomino R12RB and Storyteller Overland GXV Wild, alongside a prevalence of roof-top tents. Attendance figures are pending, but last year drew over 28,000 people from 20 countries.

Storyteller Overland has launched the GXV WILD, a new Super C model in its Global Expedition Vehicles lineup. Built on a RAM 3500 single cab with a 6.4L HEMI V8 producing over 375 hp and 429 lb-ft of torque, it features a 3-inch lift with AEV suspension, sleeping for four adults, a kitchen with induction cooktop and microwave, and a FlipOut Deck. Starting price is $299,898, with availability beginning in Q3.

Storyteller Overland Announces Leadership Transition

Storyteller Overland, a manufacturer of Class B RVs and Expedition Vehicles, announced a planned leadership transition. Founder Jeffrey Hunter will become chairman, and current chief strategy officer Neil Grimmer will take over as CEO. The company stated the move reflects the natural evolution of a business that grew from a seven-person launch team in Birmingham, Alabama, to a nationwide dealer network. Grimmer previously served as CEO of Plum Organics and brand president of Harley-Davidson.
