A 1989 Vixen 21 SE motorhome, designed by Bill Collins, the engineer behind the Pontiac GTO and DeLorean DMC-12, has been spotted in the wild. Between 1986 and 1989, 587 Vixen motorhomes were built across all configurations, with only 172 being SE models. Registry estimates suggest around 300 to 400 survive in total, of which 50 to 80 are SEs, and fewer than 40 are roadworthy. When new, the Vixen 21 cost around $35,000 to $40,000, and the SE model up to $53,000; today, a poor to fair example may fetch $8,000 to $15,000, while a mint one can command $35,000 to $45,000.
