Régis and Annie, retirees from Burgundy, spend six months at a campsite near Agadir in their motorhome. The pitch costs €13 per day and includes water, electricity and waste water connection. With a combined monthly pension of about €2,500, the couple pays around €390 for 30 days and €2,340 for six months for the pitch alone. The 800-pitch campsite is located about 30 km north of Agadir and is popular with European pensioners. The journey from Burgundy takes five days by road plus a 36-hour ferry crossing.
