Retired couple from Mallorca spend five years touring Europe in a motorhome on €2,000 a month

Maribel and Vicente from Mallorca sold their home and bought a motorhome after their children became independent. For five years they have lived in it, spending about €2,000 per month from their pensions, including fuel. They budget €700 monthly for diesel but usually spend less because they stay long periods in one place. The motorhome is equipped with solar panels and batteries to power appliances. Giving up their house cut fixed costs by more than €1,500 per month.
