Manchester City footballer Erling Haaland has purchased an Airstream camper created in collaboration with Supreme. The purchase was made in the United States, after which the vehicle was shipped to Europe. The camper, approximately seven metres long, has an aluminium exterior with small Supreme logos. The interior includes a red sofa, dining table, refrigerator, stove, sink, shower and a bed. The model was part of Supreme's spring-summer 2022 collection and was priced at €84,000. Only about 100 units were produced and they sold out quickly, so second-hand prices may exceed the original retail price.
On 20 September 2026, Savaria Camper will host an open day at Savaria Camper Park in Torony, Hungary. The event runs from 10:00 to 17:00, with free entry and parking. Visitors can view three motorhomes, examine their layouts and equipment, and ask questions about motorhome travel. A surprise is planned for children, and attendees can enter a prize draw for coupons covering camping package rental, SUP rental, electric scooter rental, game package rental, yoga package rental, and waiver of the motorhome preparation fee.
80-year-old Ildse Petersen from Denmark travels the country in a three-wheeled Piaggio Ape 50 with a Wide Path Camper living module. She does not plan routes or overnight stops. The module seats four for meals and sleeps two, with a 200×90 cm bed and 300 liters of storage. Range is about 200 km, top speed 40–45 km/h. The price of a new complete unit is approximately 4.4 million forints.
On September 6, 2026, at the junction of roads 8415 and 8429 in Boba, Hungary, a Nissan driver ignored a stop sign and collided with the side of a Fiat motorhome. Four occupants of the Nissan were taken to hospital with minor injuries. The motorhome's driver, a woman with extensive experience, managed to keep the vehicle on the road despite knocking down a signpost. The road was fully closed during rescue and investigation. The junction has a history of fatal accidents, including one in 2004 that killed five people.
On September 5 at around 12:30, a traffic accident occurred at the intersection of Kossuth Lajos and Szabadság streets in Nyúl. A Nissan driver intended to turn left, the Honda driver behind slowed down, but a motorhome with Austrian plates collided without braking. Firefighters from Pannonhalma disconnected the vehicles' power and cleared the obstruction. No injuries were reported.
A caravan used for storage caught fire and burned completely on Petőfi Road in Mohora on Monday morning. No one was inside the vehicle, but the owner tried to extinguish the blaze and injured his arm. Firefighters from Balassagyarmat arrived and used one water stream to put out the flames, preventing further spread. Paramedics treated the injury on site, and the owner did not require hospitalization.
Stellantis has reopened orders for the 2.2-liter 160-hp Multijet3 diesel in the Fiat Ducato, Peugeot Boxer, Citroën Jumper, and Opel Movano. The engine is available exclusively for motorhome conversions and delivers up to 400 Nm with an eight-speed automatic. It slots between the existing 140-hp and 180-hp versions and meets Euro VI standards. The engine was previously offered in 2021 but returns now with a more modern gearbox and a more focused role.

In Hungary, rules for towing caravans and heavy trailers with a B licence have been clarified. To tow a trailer over 750 kg, the combined maximum authorised mass of the vehicle combination must not exceed 3500 kg. The B96 endorsement, introduced in 2013, raises this limit to 4250 kg. The course typically costs between 70,000 and 150,000 forints. If the total mass exceeds 4250 kg, a BE category is required.
A caravan crashed into a guardrail on the M7 motorway in Hungary, causing a traffic jam. Drivers are advised to take alternative routes and leave the highway.

On August 26 at about 21:05, a motorhome caught fire on road 2504 between Noszvaj and Bogács. The fire spread to dry grass. Firefighters from Eger and Szomolya responded. The driver noticed a fault and pulled onto a side road, preventing more serious consequences.

A modern caravan park with 12 pitches has opened in Nagyfödémes near the Kék Gyöngy thermal resort. Supported by Trnava region, it cost about 13 thousand euros.

German company Sealander has unveiled an amphibious camper trailer that doubles as a boat. Prices start at 40,000 euros.
Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles has announced two premieres for this year's Caravan Salon in Düsseldorf, running from August 28 to September 6. The ID. California Cruise concept is built on the ID. Buzz platform and is positioned as a precursor to a new family of electric camper vans arriving gradually by 2028. The second novelty is an inflatable modular interior system for the T7-based California Beach, developed with startup Stuff Bubble. The kitchen module weighs less than 10 kg, attaches to the vehicle's existing cargo rail system, and has its own closed water circuit. The inflatable bed is available in single- and two-person versions weighing 6 kg and 12 kg respectively; together with the upper pop-top bed, the California Beach can sleep up to four adults. The modules can be installed and removed by one person in a few minutes, allowing the vehicle to avoid permanent extra weight during everyday use.
On Sunday at noon, firefighters were called to another fire in Veszprém. The flames engulfed a caravan and an outbuilding.

hvg.hu tested the Volkswagen California based on the Multivan T7, which offers 10 square meters of living space and costs 50 million forints in Hungary. The model features a pop-up roof, a mini kitchen, a 37-liter refrigerator, and sleeping accommodations for four. The test version had a 2.0-liter turbodiesel with 150 horsepower, averaging 8 liters per 100 kilometers. An updated version with a larger display is due in autumn.

In the Slovak village of Veľké Úľany, 12 caravan parking spots were created near the beach. The project was financed by the Trnava Region and cost about 13,000 euros. The area was improved, the park renovated, a rest zone created, and electricity and water supply installed. The development aims to meet the needs of tourists, including cyclists who can easily reach the water mill in Tomášikovo and the Little Danube.
