Maribel and Vicente from Mallorca have lived in a motorhome of just over 10 square metres for five years, travelling around Europe. They gave up their house after their children started their own families.

The couple receives a health-related pension and has not reached retirement age. After moving from an apartment into a motorhome, they stopped paying 1200 euros a month for housing and also gave up their car (350 euros a month plus 50 euros insurance), about 100 euros for electricity and the same for gas and water. According to them, food costs have also fallen because they cook themselves and do not eat out.
