A camper raffle organized by the foundation Stichting Vrijheid op Wielen from Almere raised €68,010 for Ronald McDonald Huis Emma Amsterdam. Participants bought lottery tickets at €12.50 each for a chance to win a Knaus Tourer Cuvision 500 LT camper worth around €100,000 and a one-year insurance policy from Aveco. The winners received the camper at the end of July.
The proceeds will be used to complete the construction of an accessible outdoor playground. The cheque was handed over to board chairman and former minister Ferd Grapperhaus and Reina Hazenberg. The raffle lasted six months. Earlier, a fraudulent website imitating the official lottery was removed with the help of police and partner Lotify.
