Toyota bZ4X Touring (2026): Japanese electric estate with 380 hp

On Saturday, a motorhome overturned on the Primorska motorway. Emergency services responded; firefighters from PGD Cerknica secured the scene, provided fire protection, and assisted in clearing the aftermath. Drivers were advised to exercise caution and adjust their speed to road conditions.

Motorhomes have been placed at the former border crossing in Rožna Dolina, which Italian police will use for internal border control from June 28 to July 15. No official information on their role is available yet from the Gorizia prefecture or police headquarters. Nova Gorica mayor Mirko Brulc called Italy's decision scandalous, stating that the threat from Slovenia is not significant. Slovenian police already advise citizens to carry identification when crossing internal borders.

This morning at 6:45 in Trieste, a motorhome caught fire at Via Puccini 86. Firefighters checked for occupants — none were inside — and began extinguishing. The fire spread to nearby parked cars. The blaze was put out, causing substantial property damage.

From summer 2026, barriers will be installed on the Vršič Pass in the Julian Alps to regulate traffic. At the same time, local municipalities have increased penalties for wild camping: a fine of €500 per person. In Bohinj, motorhomes, campervans, and caravans are banned from forest roads year-round, and in July-August also from the Savica waterfall. At Lake Bled's central parking, motorhomes pay €3 per hour, and overnight stays are prohibited.

Toyota has unveiled the bZ4X Touring, an electric SUV-wagon aimed at families and outdoor enthusiasts. The model features a 14 cm longer body, increased cargo space (up to 1178 L), and towing capacity up to 1500 kg. It is available in front-wheel drive (range up to 591 km) and all-wheel drive (280 kW, 0-100 km/h in 4.5 s) versions. Prices in Slovenia start at €44,490, with subsidies reducing the price to €35,990.

In Slovenia, near Log pod Mangartom, a 22-year-old German motorcyclist collided with a VW Crafter motorhome. Police report that the motorcyclist lost control due to excessive speed, fell onto the road, and hit the oncoming motorhome. The victim, with multiple injuries (fractured ankles, pelvic and femur damage), was airlifted by military helicopter to the Ljubljana Clinical Centre.
