Stellantis presented the new 2.2 MultiJet turbodiesel with 160 hp at the Caravan Salon 2026 in Düsseldorf for the Fiat Ducatoⓘ, Citroën Jumper, Peugeot Boxer and Opel Movano. The 2184 cc common-rail engine sits between the 140 hp and 180 hp versions.

Two transmissions are available: a manual gearbox with 380 Nm of torque and an automatic AT8 with 400 Nm. The manufacturer claims reduced CO₂ emissions. The move aims to meet the needs of camper owners and motorhome builders. Prices and delivery dates have not yet been disclosed.

According to a Peruvian source, Stellantis has resumed taking orders for this engine, which is intended exclusively for vehicles converted into campers. In Spain, the 160 hp version is not part of the regular commercial Ducato range, but is offered only for camper conversions. Previously, in 2021, the Ducato was already equipped with such an engine, but now it is combined with an 8-speed automatic transmission.

According to Italian sources, Stellantis Pro One has opened order books for this engine. It complies with Euro VI standards and is offered only for vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes that are converted into living quarters.
