Citroën Jumper

AL-KO is selling its E&P LevelVan hydraulic lifting system for camper vans based on Fiat Ducato, Citroën Jumper and Peugeot Boxer from model year 2016 for 4,999 euros including VAT and standard installation, down from the regular 5,799 euros. The offer is available only at participating official AL-KO VT customer centres in Germany, Austria, Italy, Benelux, France and Sweden. The system, which weighs under 50 kg and uses carbon cylinders, is designed to level a camper van without ramps.

At the Salon des Véhicules de Loisirs in Bourget, two motorhomes with a price difference of nearly 20 times were presented. The most affordable is the Bürstner Papillon PC 6.0 van on a Citroën Jumper 2.2L 120 hp base, measuring 5.99 m long and 2.05 m wide, sleeping up to three and seating four, with a GVW of 3,500 kg and a payload of 823 kg, priced from €49,380. The most expensive is the Kodiak expedition truck by R Truck France on a Renault Trucks 6×6 chassis with a 440 hp engine, 515 mm ground clearance, an 18 m² living cell, solar panels, lithium batteries, a generator, a 1,000-litre water tank and satellite connectivity, built in a limited series and priced at €996,000.

At the 2026 Leisure Vehicles Show, Benimar presented the Kaleo K640, a semi-integrated motorhome with a transverse bed, identified as the cheapest motorhome with a habitation body exhibited (excluding campervans and vans). The price of €56,480 is a special show offer that includes the Onroad pack worth €5,990 and a €2,500 discount; the base price is €52,990. The model is based on a Citroën Jumper 140 hp chassis, measures 6.30 m long and 2.32 m wide, has 4 registered seats, and features a transverse bed, drop-down bed, dinette bed, separate shower, two-burner hob, 150-litre fridge, and a bike garage. According to the publication, the Kaleo K640 is €3,000 cheaper than its closest competitors.

At the VdL 2026 show, Hobby is presenting the Ontour C 700 GQ, a narrow profile motorhome measuring 2.16 m wide and 6.97 m long, based on a Citroën Jumper 140 hp with automatic transmission. The show version includes automatic transmission, KOS fabric upholstery, additional dinette bed, ambient lighting, a 7-inch control panel and extra power sockets. The exhibited model is priced at €79,625, a €8,000 saving from the catalogue price of €87,725. MTPLM is 3500 kg, payload 468 kg.

For the 2027 season, Font Vendôme has kept the core of its camper van range, now grouped under a single Élégance trim. The main technical change is the switch of the Rando Camp, Leader Camp, Leader Camp Duo, Duo Van and Duo Van Garage models from the Fiat Ducato to a 140 hp Citroën Jumper; an automatic gearbox remains optional. The interior gains matte black cabinet doors and a wood-effect table top. A new flat pop-top roof, 85 cm high with a panoramic skylight, is offered on the five Citroën Jumper models at €7,990. Prices for the new range start at €59,990 for the Ford Transit-based Forty Van and go up to €76,990 for the Fiat-based Bel Horizon.

Spanish manufacturer Benimar has announced a new entry-level Kaleo motorhome range at the Düsseldorf Caravan Salon, positioned below its Tessoro and Mileo lines. The flagship Kaleo K640 is built on a Citroën Jumper chassis with a 2.2-litre BlueHDI diesel engine producing 140 hp, paired with a six-speed manual gearbox (an eight-speed automatic is optional). It measures 630 cm long, 232 cm wide and 289 cm high, with a maximum authorised weight of 3,500 kg. Standard equipment includes LED daytime running lights, lane-keeping assist, traffic sign recognition, autonomous city braking, cruise control, dual airbags, tyre pressure monitoring, 15-inch wheels, swivel seats, air conditioning, a 22 A lithium-compatible battery charger and rear parking sensors. The interior features a transverse rear bed for two adults, an optional single bed over the lounge, a separate bathroom with shower, a two-burner kitchen, stainless steel sink and a compressor fridge with freezer.

German manufacturer Kompanja from Brühl unveiled the Zwei-L camper van based on the Citroën Jumper L3H2 at the 2026 Caravan Salon in Düsseldorf. The model offers 4–5 seats, a longitudinal sleeping area measuring 192 by 196 cm that converts into a 130-cm-wide transverse bed or a couch, a pull-out bathroom with shower and composting toilet, and up to 1,200 liters of storage. Starting price is €72,600.

Kompanja from Brühl presented new camper van models at the Caravan Salon: the EINS Moto based on the Renault Trafic, and the ZWEI and ZWEI-L based on the Citroën Jumper. The EINS Moto allows a single person to load a motorcycle such as a BMW R 1300 GS into the interior via a rail with integrated winch; conversion takes ten minutes. The ZWEI and ZWEI-L feature a patented slide-out bathroom that manually extends 30 cm, a kitchen with a 70-litre compressor fridge, and a choice of gas or induction hob. The ZWEI-L measures 5.99 m, the ZWEI 5.41 m, and the EINS 5.08 m. The modular design allows retrofitting to older vehicles.

Georges (76) and Evelyne (74) from Blois switched to a compact van after seven motorhomes to avoid restrictions on heavy vehicles. They share travels on YouTube.

IMTEST tested the Forster Livin‘ Up V 599 VBL camper van based on the Citroën Jumper. The six-metre van has a 103 kW (140 hp) engine, sleeps four and is priced at 54,040 euros. The test found limitations: the transverse bunk beds measure 1.90 m long at the bottom and 1.80 m at the top, with widths of 1.40 m and 1.30 m respectively, and the low interior height causes discomfort. The base vehicle comes with minimal equipment, the Xzent F270 navigation system lacks map data, and there is no reversing camera. The overall rating is satisfactory (2.9).

Sunlight has unveiled the CLIFF VANLIFE camper van based on the Citroën Jumper and Fiat Ducato. At 5.41 m long, 2.05 m wide and 2.81 m high, the interior is divided into three zones: the cab is separated from the living area, and a pop-top sleeping roof with a 206×143 cm bed forms a separate level. Interior height is 190 cm. Equipment includes a kitchen with a 76-litre compressor fridge, a 100-litre fresh water tank and a 90-litre waste water tank, and a Combi 4 diesel heater. The starting price is 73,990 euros.

Sunlight, a subsidiary brand of Hymer, has updated its compact semi-integrated V60 motorhome line for the 2027 model year. The base version is now called Root and starts at 51,799 euros, while the Adventure version starts at 57,399 euros. Both are built on Citroën Jumper (Root) or Fiat Ducato (Adventure) chassis and measure 5.96 m long, 2.14 m wide and 2.74 m high. The Root offers two berths, with an optional third berth available for 349 euros.

Pössl Group has announced updates to its camper van range for the 2027 season. The seven-metre Roadstar XL Evo, based on an all-wheel-drive Mercedes Sprinter, features an electrically adjustable lifting bed and a 100-litre compressor fridge; pricing was not announced. The Summit Prime 640 receives a revised interior, and an electric pop-top roof is available for an additional 999 euros. The new Shine 640 R Evo, based on the Citroën Jumper, measures 6.40 metres and offers two separate longitudinal beds; the special edition Shine 540 ON starts at 54,999 euros. Clever Vans has updated the interior of its Select Line, including the Runner 636, priced at around 59,999 euros.

LMC has unveiled the revised Tracer motorhome line. Based on customer surveys, the interior now features indirect LED lighting strips, warm wood tones and a wider choice of upholstery. The exterior styling is aligned with the higher Cruiser series, with an optional black chassis from Fiat Ducato or Citroën Jumper. Standard equipment now includes lithium batteries, a 7-inch display, a reversing camera, electrically folding mirrors, rain and light sensors, and adaptive cruise control (ACC). In layouts 680, 690 and 730, the drop-down bed is now optional, allowing configurations from a two-person open-plan to a family vehicle with extra berths. A solar panel is available as an option. Prices start at 60,700 euros.

A motorhome disappeared from a parking lot on Hauptstrasse in Oybin on Wednesday afternoon. Between 13:30 and 15:45, unknown perpetrators took a white Citroen Jumper along with bicycles mounted on the rear carrier and personal items from inside. Damage is estimated at around 65,000 euros. Police have launched a search, including across borders, as such a vehicle could be quickly moved or taken abroad.

Roller Team has introduced a special Black Edition of its popular Kronos line. Seven floorplans feature a black Citroën Jumper base vehicle with a silver motorhome body, black accents and alloy wheels. The base 288 TL version is powered by a 140 hp engine with manual transmission; a 180 hp version with automatic gearbox is available at extra cost. Inside, there is an L-shaped seating area for six, an electrically adjustable drop-down bed, a full bathroom and a 152-liter compressor fridge. The base price is 71,490 euros, but standard equipment is rather basic, with many options offered in packages.

Stellantis is reintroducing the 160-hp version of its 2.2-liter diesel engine for motorhomes and campervans based on the Fiat Ducato, Citroën Jumper, Peugeot Boxer, and Opel Movano. The engine, unveiled at the Caravan Salon in Düsseldorf, is part of the third-generation MultiJet family and fills the gap between the existing 140-hp and 180-hp diesels. It is available with a six-speed manual gearbox (380 Nm) or an eight-speed automatic (400 Nm). The engine meets Euro VI standards and is aimed at vehicles in the 3.5-tonne class. Orders are now open, but prices and delivery dates have not been announced; individual motorhome manufacturers will decide whether and when to offer it.

Italian manufacturer Roller Team has begun sales in Spain of the special Kronos 'Black Edition' series based on the Citroën Jumper with a 2.2-liter diesel engine producing 140 hp and an automatic transmission. Seven layout options are available, including new versions 288TL and 267TL. Standard equipment includes air conditioning, rear-view camera, Pioneer multimedia, 200W solar panel, and Truma Combi 4 heating. Prices start at €70,490 excluding registration tax.

At the Caravan Salon 2026, manufacturers showcased numerous models in black, anthracite, and matte finishes. These include campers based on the Mercedes Sprinter, Fiat Ducato, and Citroën Jumper, as well as the fully electric Eifelland Relax. Prices range from €47,190 for the Forster V 636 EB to €280,000 for the Camperschmiede Sprinter 4x4. It is noted that dark colors require more careful maintenance and heat up more in the sun.
