In Quarto, on Via Grotta del Sole, eight camper vans carrying Spanish tourists became stuck in mud, potholes and abandoned waste. The tourists had to leave their vehicles and remove rubbish from the carriageway to continue their journey. Local residents helped with manoeuvres and attempts to clear the road. They have long complained about the street's condition: recent bad weather turned potholes into deep water-filled craters, and waste has not been collected for months. Residents are calling for urgent safety measures, cleaning and road repairs.
