Mercedes-Benz has presented the updated Marco Polo camper based on the V-Class. The key change is a new pop-up roof with a double-layer aluminum construction, adding 100 mm of headroom in the rear (up to 370 mm). The roof offers optional LED lighting, a sliding sunroof, and panoramic glazing.
Inside, there are magnetic curtains, an audio system with eight speakers and a subwoofer, a 40-liter refrigerator with 25% improved energy efficiency, and a compact kitchen with two gas burners. The living module is controlled via the MBAC system from the central display or smartphone.
Production has been relocated: the V-Class base is built in Vitoria (Spain), while conversion into a camper takes place at the Mercedes-Benz Vans plant in Ludwigsfelde (Germany), without Westfalia. Three diesel engines are available with 163, 190, and 237 hp (according to other sources, 161–234 hp), paired with a 9-speed automatic, rear or all-wheel drive. Orders in Europe open on August 5, 2026; pricing is not yet announced, with the current model starting at 80,664 euros in Germany.
