Mercedes-Benz has refreshed the Marco Polo camper (based on the V-Class) for the 2026/2027 model year. Key updates include an aluminum pop-up roof with 10 cm more headroom, improved insulation, a digital cockpit with two 12.3-inch screens, and smartphone control. Production has moved to Ludwigsfelde, Germany; European sales begin in the second half of 2026.
Key changes
The V-Class-based camper features a power-operated aluminum pop-up roof (height increased by 10 cm), enhanced thermal and acoustic insulation, magnetic blackout screens, and configurable LED ambient lighting. The interior receives wood trim and leather upholstery, plus a redesigned kitchenette with a refrigerator.
Technology and variants
Inside, two 12.3-inch displays make up the digital panel; lighting and audio CAN be managed via a smartphone app. Power comes from a 2.0-liter diesel engine producing up to 237 hp. A simplified Horizon version without the kitchen unit is also offered.
Production and market launch
Assembly has shifted from the Westfalia plant in Gotha to Mercedes-Benz’s own facility in Ludwigsfelde, Germany. The model will debut at the Caravan Salon Düsseldorf (August 28 – September 6, 2026). European sales begin in the second half of 2026; an electric version is expected on the next-generation V-Class platform by the end of the decade.
