On Friday evening on the A8 towards Munich near Anger, a serious accident occurred involving two trucks, two cars and a caravan. According to police, a truck driver illegally entered a closed parking area and braked sharply, forcing other drivers to maneuver. While trying to avoid a collision, another truck hit the caravan, which was completely destroyed, and also struck a car that overturned.
According to BRK, around 9 p.m., three of the five participants suffered minor or moderate injuries, and two were taken to Bad Reichenhall clinic. TAG24 reports two lightly injured people taken to hospital and notes that the truck driver who caused the accident was unhurt; proceedings were initiated against him for negligent bodily harm. Salzburg24 cites an unsuccessful overtaking maneuver as the cause. The road was closed for about two hours.
