On the A8 motorway near Leipheim, a caravan jackknifed and blocked several lanes in the direction of Stuttgart on Wednesday morning. According to police, the caravan came to rest across the left and middle lanes; the cause has not been determined. Traffic was diverted via the hard shoulder, and a 7 km traffic jam caused delays of up to 70 minutes. The caravan was removed and the lanes reopened by late morning.
