Expanding caravan Beauer X8
At the Caravan Salon 2026 show in Düsseldorf, French manufacturer Beauer presented the X8 model. In travel mode, length is about 6.65 m and width about 2.05 m. When set up on site, three motorised sliding modules increase the width to 4.8 m and the area to 30 m².
According to one source, transformation takes two minutes and is carried out using electric jacks. Inside are a living room, two separate bedrooms, sleeping places for eight people, a kitchen with sink and hob, a bathroom with toilet and shower, and an outdoor shower. Optional extras include solar panels, bike racks, reinforced insulation and air conditioning. The gross vehicle weight (PTAC) is stated as 2700 kg, and the price starts at €109,990 without options; order dates have not been announced.
Another source reports that transformation takes 60 seconds and notes that one detail causes a minor inconvenience.
Equipment and payload
According to a further source, standard equipment includes a 150 Ah lithium battery, a 25 l electric water heater and two 55 l tanks; a 200 Ah battery and up to 400 W of solar panels are optional. Inside are a living room, dining area, kitchen, two bedrooms, a bio toilet, a washbasin and a 70x70 cm shower. Kerb weight is 2600 kg and gross weight 2700 kg, leaving only 100 kg of payload.
A Belgian source reports a living area of 23 m² rather than 30 m², with a lounge, kitchen island with corner kitchen and dining table, bathroom with shower and Clesana toilet, and a bedroom with two double beds and separate entrances. An Austrian source confirms 30 m², 60-second transformation and classifies the model as 2027.
