French manufacturer Beauer presented the X8 at the Caravan Salon in Düsseldorf — the largest telescopic camper in its lineup. When parked, the side walls extend electrically, increasing the width from 2.05 to 4.80 meters and the interior area to 30 square meters. According to one source, the expanded dimensions are 21.8 feet long, 15.7 feet wide, and 9.5 feet high.
Inside, there are two separate sleeping areas with double beds (160×200 cm) and two fold-out beds (140×200 cm), accommodating up to eight people. There is also a kitchen with a 190-liter refrigerator and a three-burner gas stove; according to one source, there is also a bathroom with shower. Standard equipment includes a 150 Ah lithium battery; optional extras include an induction hob, oven, microwave, dishwasher, and washing machine. The price is around €110,000 (another source cites a base price of €109,990). The kerb weight is 2,600 kg, the permissible gross weight is 2,700 kg, leaving a payload of only 100 kg.
According to a new source, the caravan is 6.65 meters long and 2.90 meters high when folded. There is no official dealer in the Netherlands; the model can be purchased from dealers in France, Belgium, and Germany. According to an Italian source, the two side modules on electric cylinders extend in about 60 seconds; the bathroom and other areas of the expanding section only function when fully deployed, making the model suitable for long campsite stays rather than short stops. According to a Russian source, there is also a wardrobe, and the bathroom includes a shower and a cassette toilet.
