At the 65th Caravan-Salon in Düsseldorf (August 28 – September 6), new motorhomes and campers are presented. Demand remains high despite rising prices and fuel costs. Manufacturers focus on all-wheel drive and autonomy, offering models with solar panels and lithium batteries, as well as gas-free solutions.
Highlights include the all-wheel-drive camper Carado CV 595 X-Edition based on the VW Crafter from €88,600 and the Eura Xtura model priced at €150,000–180,000. Manufacturers also introduce combined bathrooms with a wide pivoting partition and rear bathtub.
The caravan sector continues to shrink: registrations are falling, Bürstner ceases production by 2027, Dethleffs cuts its portfolio, but Hobby keeps its lineup. E-mobility finds no demand.
