At the 65th Caravan Salon in Düsseldorf (August 28 – September 6), manufacturers present a wide range of new motorhomes and camper vans. Demand for off-road capable and self-sufficient vehicles remains high, while the caravan segment continues to decline. Notable debuts include the all-wheel-drive Carado CV 595 X-Edition based on the VW Crafter from €88,600 and the Eura Xtura priced between €150,000 and €180,000. New floor plans feature combined wet cells with large swivel walls and full-width rear bathrooms. Electric mobility remains a niche, with only a few models like the Eifelland camper van on the Nissan Interstar-e. Meanwhile, caravan production is being phased out by Bürstner by 2027, and Dethleffs is halving its caravan lineup.
