The city of Obana-zawa in Yamagata Prefecture signed an agreement on the 3rd with VANTECH (Saitama Prefecture) to use campers during disasters. Campers, which are easy to move and provide privacy, will be used as rest areas, emergency housing, and for transportation. The company has previously provided support during the Great East Japan Earthquake and the Noto Peninsula earthquake. Eleven campers are stationed in Higashine, where the company has a base.

Japanese tuning company Vantech has announced a four-wheel-drive version of its flagship CORDE Leaves camper. Based on the Isuzu Travio, the model features a diesel engine and 4WD. It is priced at 13.23 million yen and will debut at the 2026 ALL Kanto Camping Car Show in September. Inside, it offers two beds, a kitchen with two burners, an 83-liter refrigerator, a microwave, air conditioning, and underfloor heating. The ILiS ME auxiliary battery can be charged via a 1,090W solar panel on the roof.

Price in Japan is 13.23 million yen. The public premiere will take place at the ALL Kanto Campervan Show 2026 in early September.

Tendo City in Yamagata Prefecture has signed an agreement with Vantech (Tokorozawa, Saitama) to prioritize renting its motorhomes during natural disasters. The motorhomes, equipped with beds, heating/air conditioning, and toilets, can accommodate up to 5 people. They will be supplied from the company's production base in Murayama and a dealership in Higashine. The measure aims to support elderly people, families with infants, and personnel dispatched to disaster areas.

Tendo City in Yamagata Prefecture has signed an agreement with camper van manufacturer and seller VANTECH to rent vehicles during natural disasters. Under the deal, VANTECH will provide up to five camper vans, each sleeping up to five people, for use as temporary accommodation for dispatched staff, medical workers, and vulnerable evacuees. The company previously deployed camper vans to the 2024 Noto Peninsula earthquake. This is the sixth such agreement VANTECH has with local governments in the prefecture.

JAL Airtech and Japan Airlines launched the 'JAPAN RV TRAVELLER' motorhome rental service in April, with the first base at Narita Airport (Chiba Prefecture). Renters earn JAL miles based on the rental fee. The dedicated website allows booking over 20 motorhomes from partner companies, including manufacturer Vantech. Two special-design vehicles featuring aviation motifs, Wi-Fi, and JAL in-flight amenities will be available from July 1. The companies aim to expand to other airports and create a portal for booking overnight spots and activities.

JAL Airtech and Japan Airlines have launched a motorhome rental service called 'JAPAN RV TRAVELLER' at Narita Airport (Chiba Prefecture) starting in April. The service allows customers to earn JAL miles based on rental fees. Partnering with motorhome manufacturer Vantech, the platform offers over 20 vehicles from affiliated operators, including two special-design units with aviation-themed interiors and exteriors (available from July 1). Free shuttle service from the airport is provided. The initiative aims to address 'last-mile' transportation and accommodation shortages in rural areas, targeting both domestic and international travelers.

Japanese railway company Seibu Railway has fully deployed camper vans as mobile rest stops for outdoor workers during hot weather since spring 2026. A pilot project in summer 2025 received positive feedback.
