A British developer has applied for a declaration of community interest (LIC) to build a campsite for 117 motorhomes in San Miguel de Salinas. The project, with a planned investment of 1.7 million euros and capacity for 351 guests, is proposed on a 44,308 sq m plot within the impact buffer zone of the Sierra Escalona natural park's natural resource management plan (PORN). The documentation does not analyse the specific restrictions set by article 36.5 of the PORN and acknowledges the site lies on the boundary of the Special Protection Area for Birds (ZEPA).
