The municipality of Sopela has drafted a project to adapt the Urko parking area in Larrabasterra, including 29 spaces for motorhomes, 19 of which will be available only in summer and at Easter. The current layout dates from 2014 and, according to city sources, needs updating due to the rise in motorhome tourism. Last year, a modification to the municipal budget of 112,000 euros was approved to fund the improvements.
