Electric cars are increasingly used for towing caravans, but require careful planning. According to ACV, in the first half of 2026, every fourth new registration was an electric car. Key parameters: trailer load capacity, nose weight, and axle load. In an ADAC test with a Kia EV6, consumption with a caravan was 36.6 kWh per 100 km — 83% more than without. Realistic range is 150–225 km per charge. EnBW charging parks designed for vehicle combinations up to 14 meters are recommended.
