The Edwards family from the UK (parents Amy and Shane) sold their home and bought a motorhome in July 2025 to travel Europe with their five children. Mother Amy, 40, a former hairdresser, left her job to homeschool the children. The older children were switched to home education after the COVID-19 pandemic; the younger ones have never attended school.
The family has already visited Wales, France, and Portugal. The children follow a self-directed learning program: they choose topics, and parents help them explore. Plans include buying land outside the UK for farming, possibly in a country with a warmer climate and lower cost of living.
