The Spanish Traffic Directorate (DGT) has modified the MOT regulations for motorhomes and camper vans. Motorhomes (category M) are exempt from inspection for the first four years, then biennially until 10 years, and annually thereafter. Camper vans (category N) must undergo annual inspections until 10 years, and then twice a year. The fine for driving with an expired MOT is 200 euros, while driving with a failed MOT result incurs a 500 euro fine and potential vehicle immobilization.
