Spain's DGT has tightened regulations for motorhomes due to a 185% increase in their numbers since 2015. Motorhomes in category M now require an inspection every two years after four years of use, while camper vans in category N require annual inspections from registration. The fine for an expired inspection is 200 euros, and for driving with a failed inspection result, up to 500 euros. Municipalities have gained more authority to limit the parking duration of such vehicles.
