The first mandatory ITV inspection for motorhomes is required 4 years after registration, then every 2 years until 10 years, and annually thereafter. For campers converted from vans (N homologation), the inspection is annual for the first 10 years, then every 6 months.
Exceeding the maximum weight increases braking distance and reduces stability, so heavy items should be placed low and closer to the center.
