Since January 1, 2026, motorhomes in the Netherlands are subject to half-rate road tax instead of the previous quarter-rate, effectively doubling this expense. Average monthly costs include €80–250 in road tax, €25–100 in insurance, €50–175 in storage, plus maintenance reserves (€75–200) and other items, totaling €265–865. A standard B driving license covers motorhomes up to 3,500 kg; since July 1, 2025, electric and alternative-fuel models up to 4,250 kg are also allowed.
