The Autocaravanas Autónoma La P.A.C.A. platform has backed the new tourism regulation for the Canary Islands, currently under review by the Consultative Council. According to platform president Jesús Gallardo, more than 11,000 Canarian motorhome owners travel to the mainland each year, spending significant amounts there. Gallardo stressed the need for municipal parking areas to prevent the outflow of tourists and money from the islands.
