The Dutch municipality of Barneveld has introduced restrictions on parking motorhomes, caravans and other recreational vehicles within the built-up area. According to the local by-law (APV), such vehicles may be parked on public roads for a maximum of three consecutive days. The measure aims to preserve liveability in neighbourhoods, ensure road safety and free up parking spaces for other road users. For longer stays, the authorities recommend using private property or other permitted locations; violators risk a warning or a fine.
