Moldova emerges as new destination for vanlife and caravanning

Moldova is attracting more travelers in motorhomes and campervans due to developing infrastructure along tourist routes. Along key roads, such as the route from Chișinău to Old Orhei, campsites with electricity and sanitation facilities are appearing among vineyards and lavender fields. According to the founders of Hill&Valley eco-farm, European tourists increasingly stay at such spots for several days, boosting agritourism. Rising prices in popular Western destinations like Tuscany are pushing travelers to seek alternatives in the East.

Knaus Nordwind 660 PXB — new luxury caravan

Knaus has launched the new Nordwind series, positioned above the well-known Südwind. The first model, Nordwind 660 PXB, is built on a twin-axle AL-KO chassis with a gross weight of 2500 kg. It features Alde Compact 3020 water heating, an L-shaped kitchen with an induction hob, and a 153-liter compressor fridge. Base price in Germany starts at around €49,000.

New Nysa: Polish automotive legend in electric version

Designer Robert Bernard Osiecki has released an independent visualization of a modern electric Nysa. The project is not official and is not related to previous attempts to revive the brand. The renderings show passenger and cargo versions with distinctive features of the original: short front, boxy body, large windows and round headlights. The author emphasizes that this is a stylistic exercise, not a commercial project.

Xpeng X9 electric van enters Polish market

Chinese brand Xpeng has started sales of the X9 model in Poland, a seven-seat electric van. The vehicle measures 5316 mm in length with a 3160 mm wheelbase. Three powertrain versions are available: Standard Range (94 kWh, 320 hp, FWD) from PLN 324,900, Long Range Pro (110 kWh, 320 hp, FWD) from PLN 349,900, and Performance Pro (110 kWh, 500 hp, AWD) from PLN 389,900. Claimed range reaches up to 615 km, with a maximum charging power of 542 kW.

Xpeng X9 enters Polish market

The electric minivan Xpeng X9 has launched in Poland starting at 324,900 PLN. It is offered in three versions: a single-motor variant with a 94.8 kWh battery (up to 535 km WLTP range), a long-range version with a 110 kWh battery (up to 615 km), and an all-wheel-drive Performance Pro with two motors producing 500 hp (up to 580 km). The vehicle features an 800 V architecture enabling a 10–80% charge in 12 minutes on a suitable charger. In the independent Norwegian El Prix Summer 2026 test, the X9 charged from 10 to 80% in 13 minutes on a 400 kW station, adding 505 km of range.

Subaru Sambar Van 2026 gets safety upgrades and digital instrument cluster

Subaru has updated its small camper van, the Sambar Van, for 2026. The model features an improved ADAS system with stereo cameras that can detect cyclists and pedestrians. A digital instrument cluster is added for the passenger version. The base manual transmission version starts at 1,155,000 yen (about 189 million VND), an increase of 55,000 yen over the previous model.

Trailer with gas cylinders and e-bike catches fire in Lesko

A car trailer carrying gas cylinders, solar panels, batteries, and an electric bicycle caught fire while driving on Piłsudskiego Street in Lesko. Firefighters quickly extinguished the blaze, preventing an explosion of the cylinders and the fire from spreading to the towing vehicle. Police preliminary findings suggest the fire may have been caused by a short circuit in the e-bike battery. No injuries were reported.

Creators of Camper Van: Make it Home announce Book Nook

Malaga-based Spanish studio Malapata Studio, which released the camper van customization simulator Camper Van: Make it Home a year ago, has announced a new game — Book Nook. It is a simulator for assembling a miniature book nook, where players place decorative elements step by step without time pressure. The game is currently confirmed only for PC, with a Steam page and demo already available.

Polish trailer Lorries MT2: compact and foldable design

Polish company Lorries, part of the Stalko group, has introduced the MT2 trailer with a drop-down platform for motorcycle transport. The patented lifting and lowering mechanism allows loading without additional ramps. The trailer can be folded for storage in vertical or horizontal position. The model will be tested by Motovoyager during an adventure motorcycle comparison in the A2 category.

Ślesin municipality prepares for summer season

In Ślesin, Poland, campsites and camper van parking areas are already open, while beaches will open on July 1. Authorities report infrastructure preparations: beach cleaning, renovation of sanitary facilities at the marina, and plans to restart a cascade in the park that has been closed for years. Beaches will be guarded by lifeguards from July 1 to August 31. In Licheń, a camper van parking area leased to the local fire brigade has stopped generating losses and is now well-maintained.

Maxus eDeliver 7 AWD: prices for electric van with all-wheel drive in Poland

Maxus has started taking orders in Poland for the eDeliver 7 AWD electric van. The model features a 204 hp electric motor with 330 Nm torque, accelerating to 100 km/h in 7.5 seconds. Battery options are 77 or 88 kWh, providing a range of up to 335 km. The starting price is 157,900 PLN net for 2026 models, including a five-year vehicle warranty and an eight-year warranty on the traction battery.
