At the Caravan Salon 2026 in Düsseldorf, Vöhringer, Motive Development and CityFreighter presented the fully electric integrated camper Evolve. It is a functional demonstrator, not an announced production model.
According to one source, the vehicle has a gross weight of 4.25 tonnes and, once a new European directive comes into force, can be driven with a standard B licence. Another source states that the kerb weight with fittings is under 3,500 kg. Length is 6.95 metres.
The 128 kWh battery provides a range of more than 400 km. Fast DC charging with up to 200 kW is possible, charging from 10 to 80% in about 20 minutes. The Evolve platform was developed from scratch for electric drive, eliminating the transmission tunnel and allowing a low, flat floor.
The camper offers four seats and four berths, a kitchen, a bathroom and a heat pump. Thanks to the flat floor and compact dimensions, it offers 12.2 sq m of living space. The removable battery can be replaced or upgraded. A production version, price and production dates have not been announced; one source says sales in the Netherlands will start no earlier than 2029–2030.
