Kaarst has no public parking spaces for caravans, and private offers are almost nonexistent. No dedicated areas are currently planned. Under Section 12(3) of the German Road Traffic Regulations (StVO), a trailer without a towing vehicle may be parked in the same spot for no more than two weeks unless otherwise signed. Over the past three years, the administration received about ten complaints about long-term parked caravans, most often at the Kirmesplatz and the P+R car park in Büttgen. Violations can result in fines, and towing at the owner's expense is possible. The city is considering converting the approximately 9,700 sq m Kirmesplatz into a public car park, but it is unconfirmed whether caravans will be allowed there.
