The electric motorhome CityFreighter Evolve, developed by CityFreighter, Vöhringer and Motive Development, will be presented at Caravan Salon 2026 in Düsseldorf from August 28 to September 6. The vehicle is designed to be driven with a standard category B license despite a gross weight of up to 4.25 tonnes.

The demonstrator on the Vöhringer stand will weigh less than 3.5 tonnes, leaving about 750 kg of payload. Thanks to the Evolve platform and Airply technology, which reduces interior weight by 45%, the stated range is achieved. The battery supports fast charging up to 200 kW and V2L function, and is designed for replacement and upgrade, which should reduce maintenance costs and increase residual value. In Germany, an extension of the permitted mass for motorhomes to 4.25 tonnes is planned to be introduced from 2027.
