Alaskan Campers, known for over 65 years for its rigid slide-in campers, has introduced its first fully composite model with a fixed high roof — the HS 640. The camper weighs 1,500 pounds (about 680 kg) dry, making it lighter than traditional models and suitable for half-ton pickups. Construction features sandwich panels of PIR foam and fiberglass, an aluminum frame with PVC, ensuring lightness and energy efficiency. The interior was designed with a yacht designer: aluminum cabinets, bamboo countertops, a Lagun table. Sleeping area includes an RV queen mattress, L-shaped sofa, wardrobe, space for a Trelino composting toilet and a shower. Electrical system includes 400W solar panels, Expion batteries up to 972 Ah, Victron 3000W inverter. Base price starts at $47,495.
