Alaskan Campers, known for over 65 years for its rigid slide-in campers, has introduced its first fully composite model with a fixed high roof — the HS 640. The camper weighs 1,500 pounds (about 680 kg) dry, making it lighter than traditional models and suitable for half-ton pickups. Construction features sandwich panels of PIR foam and fiberglass, an aluminum frame with PVC, ensuring lightness and energy efficiency. The interior was designed with a yacht designer: aluminum cabinets, bamboo countertops, a Lagun table. Sleeping area includes an RV queen mattress, L-shaped sofa, wardrobe, space for a Trelino composting toilet and a shower. AEONrv, a Reno-based manufacturer of all-season, off-road adventure vehicles, announced its 2026 lineup, including the updated AEONv and the new AEONrv EXT with an extended wheelbase. The EXT is built on the 2026 Ford Transit AWD chassis with an 11,000-pound GVWR and 178-inch wheelbase, increasing towing capacity, cargo space, and off-grid range. The interior is entirely wood-free, using PET structural foam core from recycled bottles, reducing weight by up to 50%. The all-electric energy system includes Victron NG lithium batteries, Victron Orion XS charging, and up to 1,200 watts of rooftop solar. Pricing starts at $229,500 for the AEONv and $239,500 for the AEONrv EXT, with orders available immediately.
Italian manufacturer Wingamm has updated its compact Oasi 540.1 motorhome for the US market. Built on a RAM ProMaster chassis (the American Fiat Ducato), it accommodates 2–3 people. The body uses a single molded rear panel to prevent water and dust ingress. Standard features include underfloor heating, a Victron energy management system, up to 700 W alternator charging, and a fully electric interior. The base price is $192,500 (about €167,000), below the average for comparable US models.
From June 4 to 7, Râșnov (Romania) hosts CamperVan Fest, featuring the world's first Victron Microgrid system that connects multiple photovoltaic parks to power the event entirely with solar energy. Grech RV announced two new energy systems for its 2027 model year camper vans built on the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter platform. The GRECH POWER™ MAX system for STRADA-ion, TERRENO-ion and TURISMO-ion models increases 51V lithium battery capacity by 21% to 20,480 watt-hours, providing up to 16 hours of continuous A/C runtime. The GRECH POWER™ CORE system for VACANZA-ion also gets a 21% capacity increase to 10,240 watt-hours. Both systems integrate with Victron Energy and Garmin for remote monitoring and control via a unified digital interface.
Dutch company Victron Energy will participate in the Brazilian Exporaiz 2026 exhibition from April 30 to May 3 in Novo Hamburgo. At a 125 m² stand, the company will showcase systems for energy self-sufficiency in motorhomes, including remote monitoring and consumption management technologies.
