Composting toilet

Composting loo, dry toilet, separator toilet, urine-diverting toilet, Nature's Head, Airhead toilet

A composting toilet is a waterless, chemical-free toilet system for campervans and motorhomes that separates solid and liquid waste to enable aerobic composting of solids — requiring no chemical flush fluid and no sewage connection.

Liquid waste drains to a removable bottle; solids are mixed with coconut fibre or wood chips to decompose aerobically. Popular brands: Nature's Head, Airhead, C-Head. The compost compartment typically needs emptying every 4–8 weeks depending on use.
