The combination was traveling from Drachten towards Leeuwarden on its way to a holiday in Earnewâld. Emergency services, including police, fire brigade, and ambulance, responded. Occupants were checked and treated at the scene; no hospital transport was needed. The caravan is a total loss, and the car was also heavily damaged; both will be towed. Traffic towards Leeuwarden is affected. The cause of the accident is under investigation.
