A large fire broke out overnight from Saturday to Sunday at the De Kasteelse Bossen campsite in Melderslo, Netherlands, destroying several caravans. The fire started around midnight, and multiple fire crews and ambulances arrived at the scene.
Due to the scale of the blaze, the entire campsite was evacuated, with dozens of people leaving their accommodations. According to sources, no injuries were reported, but several people were examined for possible smoke inhalation; none required hospitalization.
Police and firefighters have a strong suspicion of arson. Part of the site has been cordoned off as a crime scene, and an investigation is underway.
