Two complaints concerning motorhomes have emerged in Galicia. The Galician Motorhome Association (AGA) has accused the mayor of O Grove, José Cacabelos, of discrimination following the adoption of municipal regulations for motorhomes. The rules, approved by all parties and backed by tourism organisations, introduce parking and stopping restrictions and fines of up to 6000 euros for violations. AGA is studying the document for possible appeals, noting that the rules also affect local residents who own motorhomes.
In Lugo, the As Carballeiras association has complained to the city council about the state of the motorhome area As Costas do Parque. Reported issues include faulty electrical equipment, poor signage, lack of cleaning, and damage to the wooden fence. The organisation demands repairs and maintenance of the infrastructure, which is used by tourists year-round.
