In Solothurn, Switzerland, a 73-year-old motorhome driver ignored a sign prohibiting vehicles over 3.5 tons. He got stuck in a tight right curve on Balmbergstrasse in Welschenrohr. A tow truck was needed to recover the vehicle, and the road was closed for about three hours.

Motorhome as mobile meeting and support space

In Switzerland, the 'Rencar' project has been launched — a motorhome converted into a mobile meeting and counseling point for marginalized groups. The initiative started on March 1, 2012, in the cantons of Jura and Bernese Jura. The motorhome will operate six days a week, parking at hospitals, prisons, and public spaces. The project is funded by the church community but does not involve religious proselytism.
