Mercedes-Benz unveils V-Class Marco Polo and Horizon campers at CMT

Authorities in Uşak, Turkey, have started forced evacuation of caravans from the Karaağaç Pond area. Owners were ordered to remove their vehicles by 10:00 AM, or they would be towed away. Gendarmerie units are overseeing the operation. Caravan owners report a lack of alternative parking sites and are calling for a regulated caravan zone.

A new caravan park, Çökertme Tekila (Tequila), has opened in Çökertme Bay on the Aegean coast. The park provides pitches for motorhomes with electricity and water hookups, as well as tent camping areas. It also features a restaurant serving Aegean cuisine. The park targets tourists traveling by motorhome or tent and is located near Bodrum and Milas.

Antalya Metropolitan Municipality is launching the Volkan Konak Caravan Park at Lara Beach. It is the second such facility after the park in Konyaaltı. The park has 121 caravan pitches, green areas, a market, cafeteria, laundry, showers, children's playgrounds, and individual electricity and water connections.

Turkish supermarket chain BİM has published its promotional catalog for June 9-12, 2026. Featured items include a 4.10-meter caravan priced at 399,000 TL, a 37-liter Kumtel portable refrigerator for 9,990 TL, and an Insta360 GO 3S action camera for 18,990 TL. The catalog also lists LG and TCL TVs, home appliances, clothing, and household goods.

Turkey's caravan industry, driven by R&D investments and government support, is boosting exports. In the first four months of 2025, exports reached $4.1 million with a positive trade balance of $2.8 million. The sector targets entering the top three global producers by 2035.

Turkish manufacturer Ankaravan has introduced the Skyloft caravan with a two-story design. The upper level includes an enclosed sleeping area and an open terrace with railings, accessible via an external ladder. The base version costs around 354,000 CZK, slightly less than a new Skoda Fabia. The model is already available for order in Europe, including the Czech Republic, but sales remain limited.
