Compare countries and cities by VanSky score and pick your next stop Compare regions by VanSky score and pick your destination
A comparison of 213 cities in Turkey by VanSky score — how comfortable it is to travel in each today. We factor in temperature, wind, sun and conditions by the sea. Sort by any metric and pick your next stop. A comparison of 81 regions of Turkey by VanSky score — where it's most comfortable to travel right now. We factor in temperature, wind, sun and conditions by the sea.
The country score (0–100) is computed from all of its cities, not a single point. Cities are grouped into regions, and a region's score is the median of its cities so dense clusters don't outweigh sparse ones. Final score = 0.65 × “best areas” (80th percentile of regions) + 0.35 × “typical conditions” (median of regions), so one warm city can't push the whole country to 100. Each city's score blends warmth (feels-like), sun, rain and wind, adjusted for night temperature and, on the coast, the sea. Data: Open-Meteo, refreshed several times a day.
The scale above shows what share of the country's cities falls into each comfort band. “Best spot” is the most comfortable region or city this week; “typical conditions” is the median score across regions.

Naciye Erkan, 56, from Zara district in Sivas, produces certified 'Zara honey' with support from KOSGEB (Small and Medium Enterprises Development and Support Administration). She started her own business five years ago after receiving hives, equipment, and a motorhome. Erkan also breeds queen bees and wears a pink beekeeper suit.
The article lists current 2026 rates for motorhome parks and campsites across Turkey. Prices range from 300 TL per night in basic areas (e.g., Perşembe Plateau in Ordu) to 2,000 TL in popular coastal spots (Kaş, Antalya). In the Aegean region, rates are 900–1,750 TL; Mediterranean, 700–2,000 TL; Marmara, 800–1,800 TL; Black Sea, 300–1,300 TL; Central Anatolia (Cappadocia), 900–1,500 TL. Extra person fees and parking charges apply at some locations.
Orhan and Sibel Işık, a nomadic beekeeping couple in Muş province, received a towable caravan with an 85% subsidy under the 'Golden Wings of Honey' project. The caravan lets them stay near hives year-round, with shower, kitchen, and electricity.
The second Kınık Karavan Fest 2026 took place in Kınık village, Pazaryeri district, Bilecik province, from July 3 to 8. It featured 437 caravans, over 50 tents, concerts, folk dances, and awareness sessions.
Mert Okkaoğlu, president of the National Camping and Caravan Federation, reminded caravan users of six basic rules: park without taking up extra space, do not leave the caravan in one spot for months, do not discharge grey water or waste into nature, avoid noise at night, leave the campsite clean, and do not occupy parking spaces for long periods. He stated that caravan freedom is only sustainable with respect for nature and others.
About 80% of caravan manufacturers in Antalya have closed due to rising raw material costs and a shortage of skilled craftsmen. The sector, which boomed during the pandemic, now faces a severe downturn.
