The vehicle, measuring 5900mm in length, 2020mm in width, and 2635mm in height, was modified for comfortable outdoor stays with the owner's dog. Enhancements include sound deadening, heat insulation, a portable refrigerator, and additional batteries. Owner Keisuke Nakazato previously used Toyota Alphard, Vellfire, HiAce, and Mercedes G-Class and V-Class, but none met his needs.
Slovenian company Adria has introduced the Supertwin camper based on the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter with permanent all-wheel drive. German company Offtrack, known for van conversions, presented its first coachbuilt motorhome named Verge at the Caravan Salon in Düsseldorf. Based on a Mercedes Sprinter, the vehicle starts at €179,999. The body uses an aluminum and XPS sandwich with Raptor coating, rated for -20°C. It measures 6.5 m in length with an interior height of 2.06 m and a transverse bed of 160×200 cm. Options include lithium batteries up to 520 Ah, solar panels up to 820 W, 150 L fresh water, and 65 L waste tanks. Gross weight is 4.1 t, with an optional 3.5 t rating; all-wheel drive adds 109 kg.
HC Conversions, a Sydney-based company, has built a camper van based on an AWD Mercedes-Benz Sprinter with a 144-inch wheelbase. The couple lives in a converted Mercedes Sprinter on the parking lot next to the pop-up. The season ends on October 15, after which they plan a trip to Morocco.
Robeta has unveiled the Hercules camper at a trade show, built on a 6.96-meter Mercedes-Benz Sprinter. The model is designed for two people and features a modular kitchen with dishwasher, a spacious bathroom, and an electric system. The base price is €141,990, while the fully equipped show vehicle is priced around €170,000. The Hercules is Robeta's first seven-meter camper on the Sprinter platform.
At the 2026 Caravan Salon in Dusseldorf, Shanghai-based HMT Solutions showcased a concept offroad motorhome on a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 4x4 chassis, featuring a carbon fiber monocoque body, a pop-up roof, and a rear bump-out. Notable innovations include an Xsani self-cleaning toilet that uses microwave incineration to turn waste into ash, and an Xfresh kitchen block with an induction cooktop, ice maker, and beer tap. HMT Solutions was not selling units or seeking distributors, but a company representative said their booth at the 2027 show will be larger and may include production-ready RVs.
Dutch camper builder Innova has expanded the options for its Roadtrip 595L, Roadtrip 695L and 4x4 Taklamakan models. A new Beach interior style with light wood decor and a lounge bench with matching ottoman are now available, the latter for the 7-meter Mercedes Sprinter-based versions. The bathroom has been updated with a shower tray and a waterless Clesana toilet. At the Caravan Salon, Innova also showed the Revotion system, which controls camper functions via touchscreen or app.
The leisure vehicle show at the Montpellier exhibition center runs until September 6, showcasing luxury motorhomes. He pays no mortgage, water, or electricity bills, and his goal is to save for a Mercedes Sprinter and become a digital nomad. The van includes a bed, kitchen with sink and stove, refrigerator, dry toilet, and a solar panel. The conversion cost 25,180 euros.
Verity Is a Custom Four-Person Campervan With Pop-Top, Large Garage, and Four-Days of Off-Grid Power
VannyCampers, a UK-based company, has unveiled Verity, a four-person campervan built on a 2025 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter with a 144-inch wheelbase. The vehicle features two sleeping areas (one in a pop-top roof), a kitchen with an induction cooktop and refrigerator, a composting toilet, and an off-grid electrical system with a 300Ah LiFePO4 battery and 450W of solar panels, providing up to four days of autonomy. Verity will be given away as part of a competition run by VannyCampers.
At the Caravan Salon 2026, manufacturers showcased numerous models in black, anthracite, and matte finishes. These include campers based on the Mercedes Sprinter, Fiat Ducato, and Citroën Jumper, as well as the fully electric Eifelland Relax. Prices range from €47,190 for the Forster V 636 EB to €280,000 for the Camperschmiede Sprinter 4x4. It is noted that dark colors require more careful maintenance and heat up more in the sun.
At the Caravan Salon 2026 in Düsseldorf, Hymer presented a range of campers, including the new flagship B-ML on the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter chassis. The model is available in I 780, I 880, and T 780 trims, featuring a 330 W solar system, a lithium battery up to 360 Ah, and an insulated fresh water tank of 200 liters. Also showcased were CrossOver models with all-wheel drive and up to 10 days of off-grid capability, plus the updated Xperience family with new options.
Mercedes-Benz will exhibit the V-Class Marco Polo camper at the Caravan Motor Touristik show in Stuttgart. The current lineup includes the Marco Polo for extended travel and the simplified Marco Polo Horizon. In addition to the Mercedes-Benz booth, European camper manufacturers will bring large models based on the Sprinter.
