At the 60th Salon des Véhicules de Loisirs (SVDL) in Paris-Le Bourget, Spanish company Vancubic presented modular removable units for converting light commercial vans into campers. The modules are installed without structural modifications, so no DREAL approval is required and the vehicle keeps its original utility registration. A typical kit consists of two main blocks: a kitchen/wet module (sink, fresh and waste water tanks, space for a stove or electric cooler) and a living/sleeping module (convertible bench that becomes a double bed, with storage under the seat). According to the manufacturer, installation takes less than 60 minutes. Prices range from €16,690 to €25,990.
