Vancubic modules
Spanish company Vancubic presented two removable modules that turn a cargo van into a living space at the 60th Salon des Véhicules de Loisirs (SVDL) in Paris-Le Bourget. Installation requires no drilling into the body and is secured with straps, preserving the original registration as a utility vehicle and avoiding the need to contact DREAL. According to the manufacturer, installation takes less than 60 minutes.
Equipment and prices
The kit typically consists of two main blocks: a kitchen and sanitation unit (sink, fresh and waste water tanks, space for a stove or refrigerator) and a living/sleeping unit (convertible seat-bed and storage drawers). Module prices range from €16,690 to €25,990, with a base model available from €15,990 excluding delivery and installation.
Compatibility
Installation requires an L2H2 van with a usable length of about 2.80 m and a height of 1.90 m. Compatible models include Peugeot Boxer, Citroën Jumper, Fiat Ducatoⓘ, Renault Master, Ford Transit and Mercedes Sprinter.
