The build includes an 80 mm suspension lift, 18-inch Hanma wheels with 255/55 R18 Loder AT1 all-terrain tires, a tubular front bumper with two PIAA LED lights, wide fender flares, and a roof platform with a hard-shell rooftop tent, ladder, storage boxes, full-size spare wheel, and PIAA auxiliary lights. The factory all-wheel drive is retained.

Ford has unveiled the Transit Custom Nugget Plus camper, developed with Westfalia. The roof extends to a maximum height of 2.4 metres, 37 centimetres more than the standard variant. The interior includes a kitchen and living area with a dining table, a second-row bench for three passengers that converts into a bed, and a double bed in the upper section. Two power outputs are available for the 2.0 EcoBlue engine: 130 or 185 hp. First deliveries are scheduled for the first quarter of 2021.
Toyota has unveiled the Tacozilla project, a camper based on the Tacoma TRD Sport pickup with a manual transmission, inspired by Chinook models of the 1970s–80s. The premiere is planned for the SEMA Show. The preliminary layout includes a sleeping area above the cab, a small kitchen, a dining area and a bathroom; the model will be more compact than traditional American motorhomes. The project is at the prototype stage. Chinook RV was founded in 1938, closed in 2005, revived in 2013 and produces motorhomes based on Mercedes Sprinter and Ford Transit, as well as travel trailers.
The Hunker Pod is a slide-in camper module that fits into a cargo van, converting it into a full-size camper. It costs $32,995 and is compatible exclusively with 159-inch wheelbase Ram ProMaster vans from model year 2014 or newer. Installation takes about an hour at the company's facility in Denver, Colorado, and requires no permanent modifications. The Pod is secured with bolts to the van's factory inserts, allowing it to be removed and the van returned to cargo use. Hunker says versions for the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter and Ford Transit are in development.
Paradigm Van Conversions, based in Denver, Colorado, has unveiled the Longhorn, a camper van conversion built on an extended-wheelbase Ford Transit. The rear living area can be transformed: two aircraft-grade aluminum Code 7 platforms on vertical tracks fold down into two beds with 4-inch (10 cm) memory foam mattresses or are removed to create cargo space, including room for a motorcycle. Each platform supports up to 400 lb (181 kg) while weighing 39 lb (17 kg). The electrical system includes a 400 Ah battery bank, a 3,000 W inverter, and a 500 W solar panel; the Dometic RTX 200 A/C can run for up to 16 hours. An Espar air heater draws fuel from the vehicle's tank. The kitchen has an 85-liter fridge and two 5-gallon (19-liter) water canisters.

Roller Team has unveiled the Kronos Fit 235 TL, the shortest model in the Kronos Fit range at 5.99 metres long and 2.15 metres wide, built on a Ford Transit and homologated for four occupants. Instead of a rear garage, it uses a pull-out platform for a scooter or two e-bikes. The maximum permissible weight remains 3,500 kg, requiring careful accounting of optional equipment and payload. German magazine Promobil estimated in April 2026 a starting price below €70,000, while a French price list quotes €63,991 for the 165 hp version; no official Dutch price for the 2027 model has been published.
Dorset Police have released an image of a caravan stolen on Portland. The caravan was taken at around 3:20am on Sunday 20 September 2026 from New Ground car park. A white Ford Transit panel van reportedly towed it towards Weymouth. The caravan is described as a white Bailey Pursuit with three blue horizontal stripes on each side, a TRUMA air-conditioning unit on top, and a missing front left indicator light. Police are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
At the Caravan Salon in Düsseldorf, Ebicos presented the Happy Dreamer, a modular camping system that converts a small van into a camper. The collapsible sleeper pod measures 120 x 130 x 28 cm and weighs 60 kg; it mounts on the van's tailgate and unfolds into a double bed up to 210 x 160 cm. It is compatible with Volkswagen Transporter, Caddy, Ford Transit Custom, Peugeot Partner and others. The Happy Dreamer costs €6,250, the Happy Cook kitchen module €1,250, and the electric version €9,990. A complete build in a 2018 Volkswagen T6 is priced at €33,540. Production is in Rothenburg, Germany, with a three-year warranty.
Hymer subsidiary Sunlight has unveiled the UNLTD series of four semi-integrated motorhomes based on the Ford Transit. The T 7003 S and T 7033 P measure 7 metres, while the T 7433 S and T 7433 Q are 7.40 metres long. A large rear garage accommodates bikes, surfboards or skis. Prices start at 65,999 euros for the T 7003 S.
The new Swift Voyager 584 motorhome, based on a Ford Transit, offers a blend of luxury and value, according to Nick Harding. Bristol-based Project Van Rambo Ltd has converted a 2007 Ford Transit MWB Hightop into a camper van named August, using reclaimed and recycled materials. The vehicle, which had covered 160,000 miles (257,495 km) when purchased, received extensive mechanical repairs and a repaint in Chinese Green Tea. The interior includes reclaimed birch ply walls, upcycled Amtico vinyl flooring, and a handcrafted kitchen with a copper sink and two-hob gas stove. The seating area converts into a bed for up to three people.
