Congressman Rudy Yakym visited Forest River in Elkhart on Tuesday as part of his Hoosier Heartland district tour, which includes stops in all 11 counties of Indiana's Second District. Yakym walked through the facility to meet with employees and Forest River leadership, discussing the RV industry's priorities in Washington.

Winnebago is recalling 2024-2025 Ekko motorhomes because the touchscreen may register phantom inputs and turn on the generator unintentionally. Brinkley RV is recalling 2027 Model I trailers because the exterior ladder may not be properly secured. Forest River is recalling 2027 Leprechaun and Freelander RVs because a battery-post-mounted breaker may be missing, leaving the power feed wire without overcurrent protection. Escape Trailer Industries is recalling 2025-2026 Escape E13 F1 trailers because insufficient ventilation around the refrigerator may allow carbon monoxide to build up in the cabin. Chrysler is recalling 2019-2026 Ram 1500 vehicles because the second-row seat belt buckle anchors may have been improperly installed, failing to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 210.
OGV Luxury Coach, a division of Forest River, unveiled the V-RV camper based on the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter. The exterior features body-colored bumpers and side moldings, fiberglass rocker panels, and front and rear spoilers. Standard equipment includes a 540 Ah lithium battery pack, a 3,000-watt inverter, solar panels, and a wet cell toilet with shower. The U.S. starting price is $232,493 before taxes and fees.
A 2023 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Double Cab with a 2.7-liter turbocharged engine is hitched to a Forest River Wildwood FSX travel trailer. The Maryland State Fire Marshal is investigating an RV fire that occurred in Manchester early Saturday morning. The fire broke out on July 25 at 2:58 a.m. in a 2018 Forest River RV on Millers Station Road. Fire crews contained the blaze within 40 minutes, with estimated damage of $110,000. No injuries were reported, and the cause remains under investigation.

Blue Compass RV announced the grand opening of two new dealership locations in the western United States: Blue Compass RV – Medford in Southern Oregon and Blue Compass RV – St. George in Southern Utah. Forest River has launched its 2026 Great Getaway Sales Event, a nationwide retail marketing campaign running from July 15 to Oct. 15. The campaign includes dealer activation kits with merchandising materials for the U.S. and Canadian markets, as well as a geo-targeted digital advertising campaign on Google and Meta platforms.

RV and trailer manufacturers in the US are actively adopting electric technologies. Last year, about 342,000 units were shipped to dealers.
LCI Industries is promoting its Ground Control 3.0 automatic leveling system for fifth-wheel trailers and select travel trailers. The system uses electric motors instead of hydraulics and levels the trailer in about three minutes at the push of a button. In the US, it is installed as OEM equipment on mid-range and premium fifth-wheels from Keystone, Forest River, and Grand Design, and is also available as a retrofit kit. Retail price ranges from $2,500 to $3,500, excluding installation.
Coachmen RV, a division of Forest River, has partnered with Supersede to integrate the company's Marine Board composite decking into the floor structure of Coachmen Catalina travel trailers. The panels, made from recycled polypropylene, replace plywood or OSB and offer moisture and rot resistance along with reliable fastener retention. Coachmen claims this is the first use of composite decking in conventional travel trailers, and Supersede's buyback program enables recycling of offcuts and end-of-life panels.

Forest River Inc. announced leadership appointments in its Coachmen and Forest River Park Models divisions. Mike McIntire was named General Manager of Coachmen Class A, Nate Saunders became General Manager of Coachmen Class C, and Larry “Joe” Grandstaff was promoted to General Manager of Forest River Park Models. The changes are effective immediately.
Forest River has introduced the R-Pod Un-Mapped 25FK caravan, measuring 8.8 m in length with a dry weight of 2,838 kg. The model features a front L-shaped kitchen, a rear bedroom with a double bed and electric fireplace, and two separate entrances. Standard equipment includes 400 W solar panels, heated tanks, and reinforced insulation. Prices range from €38,000 to €50,000.
Forest River hosted a tour of its Dynamax motorhome manufacturing facility in Elkhart County, Indiana, for leaders from Kampground of America (KOA) and Care Camps Foundation. The visit included a behind-the-scenes look at chassis preparation, cabinetry, custom paint, electrical systems, and final quality inspections. The event aimed to strengthen collaboration between the manufacturer, campground operator, and nonprofit supporting pediatric oncology camps.
Forest River has launched the Airelume range of caravans, designed for family travel. The Airelume 285, measuring nearly 11 meters in length, sleeps up to nine people and features a classic layout with a master bedroom and a rear bunk room. It comes with a 5.5-meter electric awning, instant water heater, refrigerator, and an optional 200W solar panel. Prices range from €32,000 to €40,500 depending on configuration.
